i needed to find the synonym

i needed to find the synonym and antonym for nape, and i am trusting this website

Nape?

Hmm... the only definition I can think of for "nape" is the back of a person's neck. It turns out there is an adjectival form, "nuchal" (a word I'd never heard of before), which means "of or relating to the nape of the neck".

So if you want to go into anatomical terms, a synonym might be "dorsal", relating to the back. Or perhaps "occipital", which refers to the back of the skull. "Occiput" if you want a noun.

As for an antonym to "nape", what sort of thing would you imagine for the word of opposite meaning to the back of the neck? I guess you would go for the front of the neck, like the throat, gullet or jowl? Or just the opposite anatomical term to dorsal, which would be "ventral".

Is that the sort of thing you were after?? I hope there's something useful there... :)
